Chester FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerson Batista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 6th minute, Gerson Batista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Chester FC's Gerson Batista in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uiuna's goalie prevented a goal. Zé Augusto Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Chester FC's goalkeeper Diogo Soeiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcus Antunes. Zeca Porto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amauri Matorin in the 18th minute of the match. If Marcus Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerson Batista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Porto having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Uiuna's João Paulo Tróia got a free kick in the 26th minute. Gerson Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Zeca Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gerson Batista struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Zeca Porto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chester FC. Zeca Porto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Amauri Matorin struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Zeca Porto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chester FC. Gerson Batista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 42nd minute Amauri Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Moraes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zeca Porto having to make a save. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerson Batista made a kick off. Chester FC's Arí Chaves got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gerson Batista struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Zeca Porto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chester FC. In the 59th minute, Chester FC's Gerson Batista ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zeca Porto. Zeca Porto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Diogo Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalmo Loureiro in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute, Gerson Batista reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Zeca Porto. The goal made the score 0-2. In the 67th minute, Alberto Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Matheus Gomes fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uiuna's protests and gave Matheus Gomes a yellow card for diving instead. Zeca Porto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gerson Batista's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Diogo Soeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Antunes in the 75th minute of the match. Adalmo Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Diogo Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zeca Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerson Batista in the 80th minute of play. If Gerson Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amauri Matorin got free with Zeca Porto in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gerson Batista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Porto having to interfere. After 91 played minutes Chester FC got a freekick which was hit by José Vítor Furtado. A collision led to Chester FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Adriano Amaral hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Chester FC defense, Marcus Antunes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diogo Soeiro. The Chester FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diogo Soeiro should have stopped the shot. When the match was over Chester FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Uiuna throughout the match.
