The referee showed Diego Marques the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Vargen's Diego Marques got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 81 played minutes, Chá Das 5's Cléberson Fonseca shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Juan Brasil came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chá Das 5 reached it. If Alfredão Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Brasil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredão Viana in the 85th minute of the match. Renan Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Brasil having to interfere. With a little luck, Chá Das 5's Vânderson Sá got control of the ball when Percival Donato tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chá Das 5's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
