Though ot was a great shot Bitumirim EC's keeper Alfredo Senna was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. After 18 minutes, Eliézer Mello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chá Das 5 and the Bitumirim EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rogério Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. In the 22nd minute, Alfredão Viana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 24th match minute, Chá Das 5 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cléberson Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. Cléberson Fonseca hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Bitumirim EC's Alfredo Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredão Viana in the 36th minute of play. A collision led to Bitumirim EC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Paulão Pimenta hit a great ball. Rogério Monteiro's late challenge caught a Chá Das 5's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rogério Monteiro helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 39 minutes, Alfredão Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chá Das 5's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredão Viana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 42 played minutes Chá Das 5 got a freekick which was hit by Gerson Abreu. After 44 played minutes Chá Das 5 got a freekick which was hit by Eliézer Mello. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfredão Viana to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredão Viana in the 87th minute of play forced Bitumirim EC's goalkeeper Alfredo Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredão Viana might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredo Senna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredão Viana ran back to his position shaking his head. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
