The supporters of Gama booed when MilanEsa Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmílson Falcão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmílson Tepedino in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teodoro Silva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edmílson Tepedino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th match minute, MilanEsa Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anderson de Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. Anderson de Medeiros hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmílson Tepedino in the 18th minute of play forced MilanEsa Fc's goalkeeper Teodoro Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juarês Zanette charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juarês Zanette the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th match minute, MilanEsa Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juarês Zanette to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 20 minutes, Edmílson Tepedino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmílson Tepedino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Telmo Fernandes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Leopoldo Simões came out and tried to block the shot, but Telmo Fernandes slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Gama's zone, Telmo Fernandes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo Simões came out of the goal and Telmo Fernandes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29thth minute of the game Willian Faria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MilanEsa Fc's Teodoro Silva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Dida Moura, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 30 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Leopoldo Simões was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Carlos Custódio charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Custódio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Carlos Custódio kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. The referee gave Gama a penalty, 38 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Claudinho Lago, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of MilanEsa Fc's Teodoro Silva. 1-1. The Gama fans' excitement grew in the 47th match minute when Gama's Edmílson Tepedino looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmílson Tepedino made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Dida Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot. MilanEsa Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Dida Moura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leopoldo Simões breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Willian Faria was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 63rd minute. Gama's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Willian Faria got free with Teodoro Silva in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Gama's Teodoro Silva threw himself towards the right post 68 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edmílson Tepedino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 68 minutes into the game, Diamantino Simão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MilanEsa Fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gama the free kick. When Willian Faria came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Gama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Willian Faria couldn't finish the play. Willian Faria took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teodoro Silva. Teodoro Silva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. MilanEsa Fc's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Edmílson Tepedino 77 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. Teodoro Silva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Willian Faria in the 82nd minute. Edmílson Tepedino got in the 84th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Teodoro Silva handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Edmílson Tepedino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Silva having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, Edmílson Tepedino recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Teodoro Silva. Edmílson Tepedino showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. 96 minutes into the match, MilanEsa Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Fiori Dias came free, but Teodoro Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Telmo Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gama's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
