Almir da Rocha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teodoro Silva having to make a save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Renatinho Carneiro to make the kick off. Conrado Vargas hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Hortêncio Schmidt hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the match, Aranau's goal looked a bit too open when Telmo Fernandes came free, but Marco Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Telmo Fernandes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Aranau's Hortêncio Schmidt got a free kick in the 66th minute. Edmílson Falcão didn't quite understand what happened when in the 67 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Teodoro Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renatinho Carneiro in the 78th minute of the match.
