Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. A collision led to Raizama getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Fiori Quirino hit a great ball. In the 31st minute of the match Gernando Meirelles shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zé Carlos Martins showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 39th match minute, Poço de Merda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Pimenta to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Poço de Merda booed when Raizama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fiori Quirino didn't get a good kick on the ball. 48 minutes into the game, Silvinho Amorim recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zé Carlos Martins. Silvinho Amorim showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silvinho Amorim to strike the kick off in the second half. Umberto Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raizama's Zé Carlos Martins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvinho Amorim in the 58th minute of play. Humberto Vidal's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Flavinho Rossi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Silvinho Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poço de Merda's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvinho Amorim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Carlos Martins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amadeu Passos charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amadeu Passos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 69 played minutes Raizama got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Passos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvinho Amorim in the 72nd minute of play forced Raizama's goalkeeper Zé Carlos Martins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Zé Paulo Nunes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Zé Carlos Martins quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jorginho Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Poço de Merda's zone, Humberto Vidal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavinho Rossi came out of the goal and Humberto Vidal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes into the match, Raizama's goal looked a bit too open when Umberto Macedo came free, but Zé Carlos Martins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd match minute, Raizama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeu Passos to maneuver through the defense. Umberto Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Flavinho Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorginho Tróia in the 88th minute of the match. Zé Carlos Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Umberto Macedo in the 90th minute of play. Humberto Vidal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute.
