Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Pedro Augusto dos Santos took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ramiro Mendonça's late challenge caught a Bacaubas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramiro Mendonça helped the player get up and apologised. Ramiro Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Bacaubas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Telmo de Andrade came free, but Frédson Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Glauco Tande in the 9thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Danilo Severo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Telmo de Andrade in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frédson Marques saved Bacaubas FC from getting behind. Frédson Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Telmo de Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hudson de Mendonça during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bacaubas FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! In the 33rd match minute, Bacaubas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério Carioca to maneuver through the defense. Emerson França received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Frédson Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The wind increased when Reginaldo Araújo made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Bacaubas FC's zone, Telmo de Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frédson Marques came out of the goal and Telmo de Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Usina da Tijuca F.C.'s Emílio de Amaral got a free kick in the 56th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Bacaubas FC's Rogério Carioca broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Reginaldo Araújo kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Bacaubas FC's Glauco Tande sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Danilo Severo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Glauco Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, Pedro Augusto dos Santos made a precise shot to the right of Danilo Severo. Usina da Tijuca F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Telmo de Andrade's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frédson Marques read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. In the 75th match minute, Bacaubas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Furlan to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute, Emílio de Amaral sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Bacaubas FC's Frédson Marques didn't even have to move. Glauco Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Danilo Severo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Augusto dos Santos went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reginaldo Araújo in the 84th minute of play forced Bacaubas FC's goalkeeper Frédson Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. During the 88th minute of the match Geraldo Batista completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Geraldo Batista a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Geraldo Batista kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Usina da Tijuca F.C.'s Reginaldo Araújo got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bacaubas FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
