Spectators: 6667 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute Jorginho Tróia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio da Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernesto Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Raizama's Jorginho Tróia got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zé Carlos Martins made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Carlos Fernando Albuquerque sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Carlos Fernando Albuquerque managed to get in a good position for a shot. Correntina's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Fernando Albuquerque was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Carlos Martins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Humberto Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio da Silveira having to interfere. Carlos Fernando Albuquerque recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Correntina's Álvaro Gomes in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Raizama's goalie prevented a goal. In the 31st minute, Álvaro Gomes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Fernando Albuquerque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amílton Fernandez hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Sérgio da Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorginho Tróia in the 46th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Álvaro Gomes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Cipriano Vargas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute, Vágner Medeiros sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Correntina's Sérgio da Silveira didn't even have to move. 57 minutes into the game, Humberto Vidal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sérgio da Silveira. Humberto Vidal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Humberto Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio da Silveira having to interfere. Correntina's Sérgio da Silveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Correntina from getting a goal against them. Álvaro Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Zé Carlos Martins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Carlos Fernando Albuquerque had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Carlos Martins. Raizama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Fernando Albuquerque was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Zé Carlos Martins came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Correntina's Álvaro Gomes. But to his dismay, Álvaro Gomes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Álvaro Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Carlos Martins having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Correntina's Álvaro Gomes got a free kick in the 80th minute.
