After a rather tough play, Usina da Tijuca F.C.'s Emerson França got a free kick in the 75th minute. godines bc's Fernandão Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reginaldo Araújo in the 77th minute of play. When Reginaldo Araújo came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Usina da Tijuca F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reginaldo Araújo couldn't finish the play. Telmo de Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandão Sena having to interfere. Reginaldo Araújo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernandão Sena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. In the 90th match minute, Usina da Tijuca F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emerson França to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Usina da Tijuca F.C.'s zone, Victor Pirani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo Severo came out of the goal and Victor Pirani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the Usina da Tijuca F.C. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
