Rogério Carioca was slow to take the kick. During this time Bacaubas FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Bacaubas FC's Geraldo Batista to fire away a dangerous shot which Silvério Peres despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tommy Schuts hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Broca's Silvério Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Martins in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Martins in the 21st minute of play forced Broca's goalkeeper Silvério Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renan Tasso couldn't finish the play. Bacaubas FC's Rafael Martins got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 47 minutes into the game, Bacaubas FC's Rafael Martins nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvério Peres made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafael Martins stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Silvério Peres yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-8. The Bacaubas FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bacaubas FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
