Pedrão Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Nelsinho Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdir Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Lopes having to interfere. Pedrão Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelsinho Simões having to interfere. José Pedro de Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cfo Flamengo's Gilberto Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato Cunha in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Flamengo Seleção slp's goal looked a bit too open when José Pedro de Queirós came free, but Nelsinho Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Renato Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 39 minutes, Valdir Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flamengo Seleção slp's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdir Gonçalves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nelsinho Simões stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedrão Simões's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. In the 45th minute Pedrão Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelsinho Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Renato Cunha to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Cfo Flamengo's Erik dos Santos got a free kick in the 55th minute. Renato Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Nelsinho Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrão Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. José Pedro de Queirós's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nelsinho Simões read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Pedrão Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Flamengo Seleção slp's zone, Pedrão Simões stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nelsinho Simões came out of the goal and Pedrão Simões tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erik dos Santos hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Renato Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Gilberto Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flamengo Seleção slp's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
