Spectators: 5005 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1004, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Vágner Koehler took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Ademar Soares came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the ASTRT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ademar Soares couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Santos getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Magno Borges hit a great ball. Juvenal de Lara took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Xavier. ASTRT's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Germano Sabóia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marquinhos Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Xavier having to interfere. ASTRT's Jonathan Xavier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marquinhos Cearense in the 19th minute of play. Germano Sabóia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Germano Sabóia got free with Hílton Branco in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29th minute, Gino de Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Germano Sabóia in the 32nd minute of play forced Santos's goalkeeper Hílton Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute Gino de Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of ASTRT booed when Santos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vágner Koehler didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Germano Sabóia to make the kick off. The supporters of ASTRT booed when Santos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edson Arantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute, Germano Sabóia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Santos's Cleiton Sá got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Juvenal de Lara hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After 80 minutes, Juvenal de Lara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santos and the ASTRT players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of ASTRT booed when Santos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juvenal de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 84 minutes, Germano Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ASTRT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Germano Sabóia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Marquinhos Cearense came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Santos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marquinhos Cearense couldn't finish the play. Marquinhos Cearense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 92 played minutes ASTRT got a freekick which was hit by Cido Teles. Santos's Cássio Mendonça shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 93rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jonathan Xavier but with some difficulty. ASTRT were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Santos to leave the ground with a draw.
