Giovanni Bertassi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edu Camargo having to interfere. A hard shot 34 in the game by Valdir Gonçalves from a close distance when the talented Edu Camargo managed to make a qualified save. Macedônia FC's players were relieved. Natã Cordeiro's late challenge caught a Flamengo Seleção slp's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Natã Cordeiro helped the player get up and apologised. After 35 played minutes Macedônia FC got a freekick which was hit by Natã Cordeiro. In the 36th minute, Flamengo Seleção slp's Renato Cunha dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. When Giovanni Bertassi was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 41 minutes had been played. Nelsinho Simões came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Macedônia FC's Cacá Novaes. But to his dismay, Cacá Novaes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valdir Gonçalves to strike the kick off in the second half. Valdir Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Edu Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After taking down the ball on Flamengo Seleção slp's corner Renato Cunha fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Edu Camargo quite easily take care of the ball. Edu Camargo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eurico Medeiros in the 95th minute of play. Flamengo Seleção slp were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Macedônia FC to leave the ground with a draw.
