Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valdir Gonçalves in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henrique Donatello prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rd match minute, PALMEIRAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percy Linares to maneuver through the defense. Valdir Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eusébio Cordeiro during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience was convinced that Renato Cunha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henrique Donatello was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Augusto Martins made a kick off. PALMEIRAS's Henrique Donatello proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save PALMEIRAS from getting a goal against them. It was beautiful to see Flamengo Seleção slp's Giovanni Quadros in action when he in the 86th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! 92 minutes into the match, PALMEIRAS's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Cunha came free, but Henrique Donatello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Percy Linares kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Nelsinho Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Augusto Martins in the 97th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
