After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Rogério Tande managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gravatahy SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogério Tande was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edu Camargo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Secco in the 14th minute of play forced Macedônia FC's goalkeeper Edu Camargo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Rogério Tande managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gravatahy SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogério Tande was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edu Camargo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogério Tande, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. If João Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as João Secco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edu Camargo. That made the score 2-0 in the 25 minute of play. Miguel Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilson de Alcântara in the 31st minute of play. Nilson de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Souza having to interfere. Macedônia FC's Nilson de Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 56th minute Cacá Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Macedônia FC's zone, João Secco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edu Camargo came out of the goal and João Secco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edu Camargo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Secco in the 60th minute of play. Macedônia FC's Edu Camargo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Secco in the 74th minute of play. Cacá Novaes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Miguel Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of Macedônia FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gravatahy SS:s goal. After 100 played minutes Macedônia FC got a freekick which was hit by Natã Cordeiro. Gravatahy SS were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
