In the 15th minute Manuel Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cfo Flamengo's Gilberto Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Couto in the 33rd minute of play. Patau SC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho Antunes in the 85th minute of play forced Cfo Flamengo's goalkeeper Gilberto Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
