In the 21st minute Adelino Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelsinho Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Valdir Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the match, Orienta SC's goalkeeper Abel Tróia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valdir Gonçalves. Abel Tróia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Orienta SC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. José Custódio hit a great ball. Eurico Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute, Valdir Gonçalves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Tróia was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0.
