After some careless play in the SHIKADAI FC defense, Cleiton Sá kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredão Perez. The SHIKADAI FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredão Perez should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Santos's zone, José Carlos Martins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hílton Branco came out of the goal and José Carlos Martins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute Luís Fábio Rosado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Carlos Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Hílton Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vágner Koehler to make the kick off. Tiago Gabriel Ceresso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alfredão Perez came out and tried to block the shot, but Tiago Gabriel Ceresso slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 57th minute. In the 60th minute, Juvenal de Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cleiton Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredão Perez made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Marquinhos Cearense sent off a good shot on target. Dalmo de Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hílton Branco having to interfere. Alfredão Perez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vágner Koehler in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Santos's Tiago Gabriel Ceresso ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alfredão Perez. Alfredão Perez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Alfredão Perez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vágner Koehler in the 80th minute of the match. The supporters of SHIKADAI FC booed when Santos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juvenal de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfredão Perez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marquinhos Cearense in the 87th minute. In the 90th minute, Dalmo de Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Santos's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmo de Lima came free, but Hílton Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Santos walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
