The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Porteira. The referee gave SHIKADAI FC a penalty, 7 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Arí Antunes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Porteira's Manoel Hoffmann. 0-1. In the 10th minute, Rubinho Moreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Porteira's goal looked a bit too open when Rubinho Moreira came free, but Manoel Hoffmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Carlos Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Manoel Hoffmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manoel Hoffmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Carlos Martins in the 14th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ismael Garcia got free with Alfredão Perez in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Angelo Borges hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Dalmo de Lima ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manoel Hoffmann was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Manoel Hoffmann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Carlos Martins's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. José Carlos Martins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manoel Hoffmann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. In the 42ndth minute of the game Rubinho Moreira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Porteira's Manoel Hoffmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Denílson da Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Hoffmann having to interfere. Manoel Hoffmann didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Carlos Martins went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rubinho Moreira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dalmo de Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Manoel Hoffmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute, José Carlos Martins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SHIKADAI FC's Rubinho Moreira got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Giovanni Zanette made a precise shot to the right of Alfredão Perez. SHIKADAI FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. A collision led to SHIKADAI FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Arí Antunes hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the match, Porteira's Sidney de Andrade broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Rubinho Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Manoel Hoffmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Fábio Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Hoffmann having to interfere. José Carlos Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dalmo de Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gernando Carioca made in the 77th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by SHIKADAI FC's Luís Fábio Rosado. If Rubinho Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Porteira's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Denílson da Silva scored to the left of an out of position Manoel Hoffmann, making the score, 1-4. Rubinho Moreira was extremely unlucky when he, in the 83rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. José Carlos Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Hoffmann having to interfere. José Carlos Martins struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Manoel Hoffmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SHIKADAI FC. When Rubinho Moreira came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the SHIKADAI FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rubinho Moreira couldn't finish the play. After 97 minutes, Arí Antunes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SHIKADAI FC and the Porteira players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 97th minute, Arí Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfredão Perez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidnei Ferreira in the 98th minute of the match. When the match was over SHIKADAI FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Porteira throughout the match.
