Spectators: 7217 (Terracing: 5414, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) Tony Dracena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael de Queiroz in the 3rd minute of the match. Tony Dracena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Martins in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Douglas Moura left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Super Campeões fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Pedrinho Reis charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedrinho Reis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Super Campeões getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Rafael de Queiroz hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Espinheiro SC's Perivaldo Terra got a free kick in the 20th minute. Super Campeões's Jeremias Martins got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jeremias Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Dracena having to interfere. Ademar de Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Guga Novaes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ademar de Mendonça might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guga Novaes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ademar de Mendonça ran back to his position shaking his head. Pedrinho Reis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Fabiano Paraense made the kick off in the second half. Perivaldo Terra struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Guga Novaes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espinheiro SC. A collision led to Espinheiro SC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Benê Custódio hit a great ball. Ademar de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guga Novaes having to interfere. Jairo Sabóia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Guga Novaes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ademar de Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Espinheiro SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ademar de Mendonça couldn't finish the play. In the 76th minute, Ademar de Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute, Ademar de Mendonça got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 83rd match minute, Super Campeões was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael de Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute Douglas Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ademar de Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Espinheiro SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ademar de Mendonça couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Super Campeões's zone, Pedrinho Reis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guga Novaes came out of the goal and Pedrinho Reis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Espinheiro SC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Super Campeões to win.
