Espinheiro SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Perivaldo Terra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcinho Rossi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedrinho Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 96 minutes into the game, Alessandro Tepedino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Tony Dracena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Espinheiro SC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
