But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuca Novaes couldn't finish the play. When Pimenteiral's Elder Souto in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AfrcBR's goalie prevented a goal. If Victor Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 20 played minutes AfrcBR got a freekick which was hit by Albertinho Cardoso. Norberto Nunes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Samuca Novaes went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of AfrcBR booed when Pimenteiral was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Amílton Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. AfrcBR's supporters rose to their feet, but Amílton Guerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luizinho Cerezo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Pimenteiral's zone, Victor Zanette stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luizinho Cerezo came out of the goal and Victor Zanette tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sandrinho Dionísio during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pimenteiral's Sandrinho Dionísio got a free kick in the 35th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Samuca Novaes in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Norberto Nunes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Pimenteiral's Elder Souto in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AfrcBR's goalie prevented a goal. In the 40th minute of the match, Victor Zanette got a very nice opportunity to score, but Luizinho Cerezo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 45th minute Elder Souto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Amílton Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. AfrcBR's supporters rose to their feet, but Amílton Guerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amílton Guerra was the one to do the kick off. After 50 played minutes Pimenteiral got a freekick which was hit by Elder Souto. 53 minutes into the game, Samuel Tande was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AfrcBR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pimenteiral the free kick. Elder Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Norberto Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuca Novaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Samuca Novaes came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Pimenteiral fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuca Novaes couldn't finish the play. AfrcBR's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Samuca Novaes 85 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. After having played for 88 minutes, Victor Zanette managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AfrcBR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Zanette was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Pimenteiral's goal looked a bit too open when Amílton Guerra came free, but Luizinho Cerezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Pimenteiral players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
