Petrópolis Red Devils were furious when Ismael Paranaense was red carded, 39 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Petrópolis Red Devils fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilmar de Amorim stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in AfrcBR's zone, Gilmar de Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norberto Nunes came out of the goal and Gilmar de Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maurício Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Petrópolis Red Devils fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Petrópolis Red Devils's Gilson Trevisan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 69 minutes into the match, Maurício Abreu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Norberto Nunes. AfrcBR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maurício Abreu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1.
