Ronaldo Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júnior Santana having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Carnaubas SC's zone, Pedro Paulo Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júnior Santana came out of the goal and Pedro Paulo Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Júnior Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Paulo Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ernesto Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Cleiton Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cleiton Melo didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Carnaubas SC's Francisco Sanches shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Carnaubas SC's goalkeeper Júnior Santana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pedro Paulo Oliveira struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Júnior Santana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BANZAI TIMAO FC. Cleiton Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Sanches in the 79th minute of play.
