In the 17th minute of the match Adalberto Sampaio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manoel Sampaio skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Fluminense FC's Ivo Fernandez got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 36th minute Maximiliano Demesio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleiton Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Walmir Pena fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BANZAI TIMAO FC's protests and gave Walmir Pena a yellow card for diving instead. Paulino Richie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Maximiliano Demesio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Paulo Oliveira was the one to do the kick off. Maximiliano Demesio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manoel Sampaio made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Ronaldo Lara sent off a good shot on target. Cleiton Melo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maximiliano Demesio went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Paulino Richie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cleiton Melo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulino Richie in the 71st minute of play forced BANZAI TIMAO FC's goalkeeper Cleiton Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 73 minutes, Paulino Richie made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. BANZAI TIMAO FC's Cleiton Melo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Pedro Paulo Oliveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Fluminense FC's Manoel Sampaio got control of the ball when Nuno Hermes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manoel Sampaio made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Ronaldo Lara sent off a good shot on target. 82 minutes into the match, BANZAI TIMAO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Richie came free, but Cleiton Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 84 played minutes BANZAI TIMAO FC got a freekick which was hit by Nico Braga. Fluminense FC's Manoel Sampaio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Fluminense FC from getting a goal against them. Dorian Moraes charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dorian Moraes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Fluminense FC's Dorian Moraes got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fluminense FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while BANZAI TIMAO FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
