Iaciara's Maurício Cardozo got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carnaubas SC's Júnior Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Rezende in the 25th minute of play. Maurício Cardozo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Júnior Santana came out and tried to block the shot, but Maurício Cardozo slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 28th minute. 34 minutes into the match, Maurício Cardozo notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Carnaubas SC's Júnior Santana. Júnior Santana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Richard Rezende's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Júnior Santana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Francisco Sanches made the kick off in the second half. Ernesto Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute, Francisco Sanches fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After having played for 72 minutes, Richard Rezende managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iaciara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richard Rezende was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maurício Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Júnior Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th match minute, Carnaubas SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basílio Machado to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carnaubas SC's goalkeeper Júnior Santana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Francisco Sanches hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the match, Carnaubas SC's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Rezende came free, but Júnior Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Maurício Cardozo, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 94 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Júnior Santana was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Júnior Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Rezende, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iaciara's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
