José Augusto Sabóia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Luiz Gustavo Sarmento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nestor Valle having to make a save. A collision led to VALENÇA FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Amílton Motta hit a great ball. Wágner Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Boston Celtics SC's Nestor Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Gustavo Sarmento in the 45th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 53 played minutes Boston Celtics SC got a freekick which was hit by Marcinho Campidelis. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Boston Celtics SC's goalkeeper Nestor Valle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristian Custódio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Valle having to interfere. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nestor Valle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raí Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 81 played minutes Boston Celtics SC got a freekick which was hit by Cido Tinoco. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Cristian Custódio managed to get in a good position for a shot. VALENÇA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Custódio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nestor Valle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Raí Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 2-1 became the score in the 88th minute when Wágner Correia elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Raí Ramalho struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. José Augusto Sabóia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boston Celtics SC.
