The supporters of Nazarezinho SS booed when VALENÇA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Décio Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristian Custódio to make the kick off. After taking down the ball on VALENÇA FC's corner Amílton Motta fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Yuri Maia quite easily take care of the ball. In the 89th minute Cristian Custódio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuri Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yuri Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Custódio in the 94th minute of play. If Cristian Custódio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle went the supporters of Nazarezinho SS were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant VALENÇA FC side.
