Sonserinos's Murillo Couto got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hudson Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murillo Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Murillo Couto in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hudson Santana saved Arvaja from getting behind. Roberto Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guto Pereira in the 29th minute of the match. Maurício Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Sonserinos's Roberto Leal got control of the ball when Bernardinho Alcântara tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sonserinos's Roberto Leal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Sonserinos from getting a goal against them. The tension between the Arvaja and the Sonserinos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 48th minute, Bernardinho Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Murillo Couto was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Bernardinho Alcântara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Roberto Leal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 61st minute, Maurício Paiva made a precise shot to the right of Roberto Leal. Sonserinos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. 65 minutes into the game, Arvaja's Bernardinho Alcântara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sonserinos's Roberto Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurício Paiva in the 72nd minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Sonserinos's goal looked a bit too open when Maurício Paiva came free, but Roberto Leal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alberto Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Arvaja's Hudson Santana got control of the ball when Murillo Couto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roberto Leal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardinho Alcântara in the 91st minute of play forced Sonserinos's goalkeeper Roberto Leal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
