If Valdo Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Velloso in the 9th minute of play forced Arvaja's goalkeeper Hudson Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valdo Palmeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hudson Santana having to interfere. When Lajeados FC's Valdo Palmeira in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arvaja's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 18 minutes, Maurício Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arvaja's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurício Paiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Bernardinho Alcântara could shoot a difficult shot in the 23rd minute, which Clemente Mandrak however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernardinho Alcântara got free with Clemente Mandrak in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bernardinho Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Clemente Mandrak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maurício Paiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 33 played minutes Lajeados FC got a freekick which was hit by Rui Velloso. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Velloso in the 41st minute of play forced Arvaja's goalkeeper Hudson Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valdo Palmeira charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valdo Palmeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Valdo Palmeira kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. If Bernardinho Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maurício Paiva made a kick off. Maurício Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. In the 67th match minute, Arvaja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseu Aguiar to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Arvaja's zone, Sílvio Luiz Hermes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hudson Santana came out of the goal and Sílvio Luiz Hermes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valdo Palmeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hudson Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Velloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lajeados FC's goalkeeper Clemente Mandrak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Clemente Mandrak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardinho Alcântara in the 86th minute of the match. Bernardinho Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Clemente Mandrak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clemente Mandrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurício Paiva in the 95th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Arvaja players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
