Spectators: 7203 (Terracing: 5404, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Maurício Paiva kicked off to start the match. Tupi F.C. JF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arvaja the free kick. The supporters of Arvaja booed when Tupi F.C. JF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavinho Munhoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tupi F.C. JF's zone, Maurício Paiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simão Moreno came out of the goal and Maurício Paiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes into the match, Arvaja's goal looked a bit too open when César Fernandes came free, but Hudson Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maurício Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Moreno having to interfere. In the 32nd match minute, Arvaja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guto Pereira to maneuver through the defense. When Bernardinho Alcântara fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arvaja's protests and gave Bernardinho Alcântara a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th minute, Bernardinho Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adelino Moreira was the one to do the kick off. Adelino Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 52nd minute, Abelardo Romero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adelino Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hudson Santana having to interfere. Arvaja's Hudson Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Moreira in the 55th minute of play. Simão Moreno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurício Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Tupi F.C. JF's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardinho Alcântara came free, but Simão Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. César Fernandes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Hudson Santana when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 69 minutes into the match, Arvaja's goalkeeper Hudson Santana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by César Fernandes. In the 73rd minute Bernardinho Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simão Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute of the match Arvaja got a corner. Tupi F.C. JF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alan Hermes ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Alan Hermes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Simão Moreno quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when César Fernandes got free with Hudson Santana in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 79 minutes of play, Tupi F.C. JF's Adelino Moreira made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hudson Santana was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Maurício Paiva came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Arvaja fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurício Paiva couldn't finish the play. Bernardinho Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Simão Moreno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardinho Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Bernardinho Alcântara scored 2-2 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Simão Moreno, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Moreira in the 96th minute of play forced Arvaja's goalkeeper Hudson Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
