The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulisses Cardoso got free with Telmo Baptista in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 10 minutes, Fernando Mota mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tamburi and the C.A. Paulistano players grew even worse after the yellow card. Telmo Baptista was left in no man's land by his defense there! When C.A. Paulistano's Alexsandro Madureira, in the 37th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for C.A. Paulistano. Ulisses Cardoso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Telmo Baptista made a huge save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexsandro Madureira to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Tamburi's Marcelo Netto got a free kick in the 51st minute. It was beautiful to see C.A. Paulistano's Alexsandro Madureira in action when he in the 53rd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! If Júlio Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiago Gabriel Lago made an important save on a dangerous shot by Júlio Travassos in the 62nd minute. Vicente Coelho kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 66th minute, C.A. Paulistano's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Júlio Travassos fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 89 minutes, Alexsandro Madureira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A. Paulistano and the Tamburi players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th match minute, C.A. Paulistano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexsandro Madureira to maneuver through the defense. C.A. Paulistano walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
