The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vitório Quintal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After having played for 9 minutes, Oséas Pirani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tsunami Boreal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oséas Pirani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Tsunami Boreal FC fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Tsunami Boreal FC's Marcel Mendonça looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Barnaba Ogrodowicz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albertinho Monteiro in the 16th minute. In the 20th minute, Albertinho Monteiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Barnaba Ogrodowicz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Marcel Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Vitório Quintal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vitório Quintal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcel Mendonça's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vitório Quintal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. A hard and well directed shot from Oséas Pirani led 30 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Academia Palestrina's Vitório Quintal became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Marcel Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tsunami Boreal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcel Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vitório Quintal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcel Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Vitório Quintal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 46 played minutes Academia Palestrina got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Quirino. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Eduardo Rezende made a kick off. Oséas Pirani kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute of the match Vitório Torres shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Barnaba Ogrodowicz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Tsunami Boreal FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Gugu Abreu hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute Marcel Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitório Quintal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barnaba Ogrodowicz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wesley Carneiro went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Barnaba Ogrodowicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albertinho Monteiro in the 76th minute of play. Ademir Donatello hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute of the match Vitório Torres sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Barnaba Ogrodowicz skillfully saved the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Albertinho Monteiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Barnaba Ogrodowicz. Tsunami Boreal FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albertinho Monteiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. Wesley Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barnaba Ogrodowicz having to interfere. After 93 minutes, Oséas Pirani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tsunami Boreal FC and the Academia Palestrina players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vitório Quintal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Academia Palestrina's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
