Bebeto Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee felt a red card was in order, 7 minutes into the game, when Lucas Favoretto put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tamburi fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 6th minute. Penalty! In the 9th minute there was a penalty for So Canelas. Egídio Salles stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Telmo Baptista. 1-0. After 14 played minutes So Canelas got a freekick which was hit by Egídio Salles. 18 minutes into the match, Tamburi's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Motta came free, but Telmo Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Guilherme Aparecido came out of the goal and Júlio Travassos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Aírton Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Júlio Travassos to make the kick off. Marcel Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Baptista having to interfere. So Canelas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júlio de Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 76 minutes into the game, So Canelas's Marcel Motta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Telmo Baptista made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 81st minute, Júlio Travassos fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Luiz Guilherme Aparecido, passed just outside the right post. Luiz Guilherme Aparecido made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Júlio Travassos sent off a good shot on target. In the 83rd match minute, So Canelas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júnior da Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Tamburi's Zeca Coutinho got a free kick in the 89th minute. With a little luck, So Canelas's Luiz Guilherme Aparecido got control of the ball when Zeca Coutinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. So Canelas were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Tamburi for a fine match.
