Adhemar Tepedino made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 8thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Chico Cabral would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. After 10 played minutes CF Teresinense got a freekick which was hit by Erik Vidal. A hard shot by Valdir Pinho from long distance, 11 minutes into the match, got Chico Cabral's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a rather tough play, castelianos's Davi Cardoso got a free kick in the 12th minute. After a defensive mix-up in castelianos's zone, Amílton Vasconcelos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedrinho da Rocha came out of the goal and Amílton Vasconcelos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chico Cabral made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Adhemar Tepedino sent off a good shot on target. CF Teresinense's Chico Cabral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save CF Teresinense from getting a goal against them. A collision led to CF Teresinense getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Valdomiro Sena hit a great ball. If Valdomiro Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Davi Cardoso charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Davi Cardoso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, castelianos's Davi Cardoso got a free kick in the 34th minute. After having played for 37 minutes, Valdir Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. castelianos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdir Pinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amílton Vasconcelos might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedrinho da Rocha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amílton Vasconcelos ran back to his position shaking his head. Fausto Peres fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 43rd minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. Chico Cabral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Adolfo Breckenfeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Amílton Vasconcelos fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CF Teresinense's protests and gave Amílton Vasconcelos a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to CF Teresinense getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Amílton Vasconcelos hit a great ball. Chico Cabral was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Valdir Pinho. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

castelianos's João Adolfo Breckenfeld got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, CF Teresinense's goal looked a bit too open when Adhemar Tepedino came free, but Chico Cabral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. castelianos were victorious despite being under pressure from CF Teresinense for much of the match.
