After 11 minutes, Kléberson de Carvalho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Insight and the Laguna Sunrise players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wiliam Veloso struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Luís Mangueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Insight. In the 55th minute Gugu Cerezo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Mangueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Laguna Sunrise's goal looked a bit too open when Wiliam Veloso came free, but Luís Mangueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Régis Seco in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pascual Iñiguez saved Insight from getting behind. A collision led to Laguna Sunrise getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Erasmo Galvão hit a great ball. In the 81st match minute, Insight was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gugu Cerezo to maneuver through the defense. After 82 minutes of play, Laguna Sunrise's Falcão Silva made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pascual Iñiguez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pascual Iñiguez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Falcão Silva in the 87th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Insight's zone, Romeu Moreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pascual Iñiguez came out of the goal and Romeu Moreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wiliam Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Mangueira having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Laguna Sunrise eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
