The supporters of Luso Carioca booed when RealParis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reginaldo Trigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in RealParis's zone, Júnior da Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Umberto Brito came out of the goal and Júnior da Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Luso Carioca's Júnior da Fonseca in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
