An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Costa in the 6th minute of play forced Laguna Sunrise's goalkeeper Luís Mangueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ricardo Rocha in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Mangueira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 14th match minute, Buritizeiro EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elder Valle to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Buritizeiro EC's Luciano Domingues got control of the ball when Falcão Silva tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ricardo Rocha struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Luís Mangueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buritizeiro EC. In the 23rd minute Ricardo Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Mangueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Laguna Sunrise's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Rocha came free, but Luís Mangueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 28 played minutes Laguna Sunrise got a freekick which was hit by Laércio da Cunha. Luís Mangueira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 39thth minute of the game Ricardo Rocha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Laguna Sunrise's Luís Mangueira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Ricardo Rocha notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Laguna Sunrise's Luís Mangueira. Luís Mangueira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

Ricardo Rocha who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Luís Mangueira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Ricardo Rocha put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Luís Mangueira. Laguna Sunrise's Luís Mangueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Laguna Sunrise from getting a goal against them. 77 minutes into the match, Nestor Costa notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Laguna Sunrise's Luís Mangueira. Luís Mangueira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 80 minutes into the game, Ricardo Rocha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luís Mangueira. Ricardo Rocha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. A collision led to Laguna Sunrise getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Aloísio Passos hit a great ball. Ricardo Rocha received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luís Mangueira came out and tried to block the shot, but Ricardo Rocha slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 85th minute. Ricardo Rocha came free with the goalkeeper in the 89th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Luís Mangueira could save by the left post. The Laguna Sunrise fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Buritizeiro EC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
