Pedrinho da Rocha came out of the goal and Wiliam Veloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henrique Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, castelianos's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Lara came free, but Pedrinho da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, castelianos's Simão Secco got a free kick in the 24th minute. The supporters of castelianos booed when Insight was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Salgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pascual Iñiguez made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Adhemar Tepedino sent off a good shot on target. In the 38th minute, Kléberson de Carvalho had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, João Adolfo Breckenfeld took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Pascual Iñiguez to make any attempt to save it. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Adolfo Breckenfeld to make the kick off. A collision led to castelianos getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Valdir Pinho hit a great ball. Jeferson Pirani shot from long distance in the 56th minute, but Pedrinho da Rocha was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. When Simão Secco fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored castelianos's protests and gave Simão Secco a yellow card for diving instead. After 62 played minutes Insight got a freekick which was hit by Gugu Cerezo. Pascual Iñiguez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adhemar Tepedino in the 63rd minute of play. In the 71st minute, Gugu Cerezo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute João Adolfo Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascual Iñiguez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Adhemar Tepedino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedrinho da Rocha was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Henrique Lara. Wiliam Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Pedrinho da Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th match minute, castelianos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davi Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the match, Wiliam Veloso dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pedrinho da Rocha, 2-2.
