But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ismael Alagoano couldn't finish the play. Jairo Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Remo's Gilmar Marquez got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute, Valdir Pinho sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Remo's Raphael de Sousa didn't even have to move. Tião Amorim's late challenge caught a Remo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tião Amorim helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th minute, Tião Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ismael Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th play minute Paulão Sousa came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Pedrinho da Rocha. 1-0. The supporters of castelianos booed when Remo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dida Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, castelianos's Pedrinho da Rocha got control of the ball when Ismael Alagoano tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Adhemar Tepedino managed to get in a good position for a shot. castelianos's supporters rose to their feet, but Adhemar Tepedino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raphael de Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Válter França could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Pedrinho da Rocha made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulão Sousa got free with Pedrinho da Rocha in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 45th minute, Paulão Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ismael Alagoano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pedrinho da Rocha came out and tried to block the shot, but Ismael Alagoano slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 47th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João Adolfo Breckenfeld stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Simão Secco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Remo's Gilmar Marquez tried to score from far away in the 55th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 57 played minutes Remo got a freekick which was hit by Dida Maia. João Adolfo Breckenfeld recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as castelianos's João Adolfo Breckenfeld slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Raphael de Sousa. That made the score 2-1 after 65 minutes of play. 72 minutes into the match, Adhemar Tepedino notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Remo's Raphael de Sousa. Raphael de Sousa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Adhemar Tepedino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphael de Sousa having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, João Adolfo Breckenfeld took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Raphael de Sousa to make any attempt to save it. In the 81st minute, João Adolfo Breckenfeld got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82nd minute, castelianos's João Adolfo Breckenfeld dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. The supporters of castelianos booed when Remo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wanderson de Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Adhemar Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 96 minutes of play, Remo's Ismael Alagoano made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedrinho da Rocha was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched castelianos eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
