In the 4th minute Walmir Dante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thiago do Vale was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 7 minutes into the match. After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for CF Teresinense! In the 9th minute there was a penalty for MarcoBH. Alfredinho Penha stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Chico Cabral. 0-1. After a rather tough play, CF Teresinense's Kléber Veiga got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute of the match Alfredinho Penha sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Chico Cabral skillfully saved the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Walmir Dante had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chico Cabral. CF Teresinense's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Walmir Dante was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 25thth minute of the game Gino Sarmento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CF Teresinense's Chico Cabral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. CF Teresinense's Kléber Veiga quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hílton Paulista, made in the 27th minute of the game. The supporters of CF Teresinense booed when MarcoBH was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hílton Paulista didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 36 minutes, Gino Sarmento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MarcoBH's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gino Sarmento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. MarcoBH's Walmir Dante managed to work through CF Teresinense's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Walmir Dante dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gino Sarmento in the 38th minute of play forced CF Teresinense's goalkeeper Chico Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, CF Teresinense's goal looked a bit too open when Walmir Dante came free, but Chico Cabral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of MarcoBH booed when CF Teresinense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdomiro Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute of the match Alfredinho Penha shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Chico Cabral showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gino Sarmento in the 42nd minute of play forced CF Teresinense's goalkeeper Chico Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 44 minutes of play, MarcoBH's Walmir Dante made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chico Cabral was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir Dante in the 47th minute of play forced CF Teresinense's goalkeeper Chico Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half MarcoBH were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gino Sarmento to make the kick off. If Alessandro Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to MarcoBH getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Walmir Dante hit a great ball. If Amílton Vasconcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chico Cabral was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Walmir Dante capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Walmir Dante really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Chico Cabral made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Walmir Dante sent off a good shot on target. In the 81st minute, Dino de Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kléber Veiga hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. CF Teresinense's Chico Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gino Sarmento in the 96th minute of play. The CF Teresinense manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing MarcoBH to win.
