Didi Lucas's late challenge caught a JEDI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Didi Lucas helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Areinhas's Didi Lucas got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Benedito Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Areinhas's supporters rose to their feet, but Benedito Meirelles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlinhos Recife breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
