C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Alcantil:s goal. A collision led to Licor de Xurumela A. C. getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Valdomiro Alcântara hit a great ball. The supporters of Alcantil booed when Licor de Xurumela A. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anísio Trigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marquinhos Gerber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Pedro Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C. got a freekick which was hit by Valdomiro Alcântara. The supporters of Alcantil booed when Licor de Xurumela A. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeu Britto didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Pedro Azevedo in the 34th minute of play forced Licor de Xurumela A. C.'s goalkeeper Marquinhos Gerber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marquinhos Gerber didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zé Pedro Azevedo went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Zé Pedro Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alcantil's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Pedro Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marquinhos Gerber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mário Barral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 80th minute of the match Anísio Trigo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guto de Lara showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Zé Pedro Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marquinhos Gerber having to interfere. In the 95th minute of the match, Mário Barral got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marquinhos Gerber was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Alcantil played a much better game than Licor de Xurumela A. C. and deserved their victory. The Licor de Xurumela A. C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
