Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ademar Lara made the kick off which started today's match. In the 2nd match minute, Sassafraz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júnior Mesquita to maneuver through the defense. After 6 played minutes TMFC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Augusto das Neves. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elias Quintal in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Paulo Macedo saved TMFC from getting behind. José Paulo Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Márcio Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. José Paulo Macedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Quintal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Paulo Macedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elias Quintal's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. When Sassafraz's Elias Quintal in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye TMFC's goalie prevented a goal. 18 minutes into the match, Sassafraz's goal looked a bit too open when Ademar Lara came free, but Dagoberto Vergílio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. TMFC's José Paulo Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Quintal in the 19th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Sassafraz's Elias Quintal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that José Paulo Macedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Ademar Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Paulo Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Quintal in the 27th minute of the match. José Paulo Macedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elias Quintal's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Fernandão Simões took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for José Paulo Macedo to make any attempt to save it. José Paulo Macedo had great luck who in the 37thth minute grab hold of the ball when Elias Quintal from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Elias Quintal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Paulo Macedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After 48 played minutes TMFC got a freekick which was hit by Serginho Mangueira.
The wind increased when Elias Quintal made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Cristóvão Moraes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TMFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sassafraz the free kick. In the 53rd minute, Cristóvão Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Deivid Toscano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sassafraz's supporters rose to their feet, but Deivid Toscano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Paulo Macedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. TMFC's José Paulo Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Quintal in the 56th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elias Quintal in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Paulo Macedo saved TMFC from getting behind. Fernandão Simões struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. José Paulo Macedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sassafraz. The audience was convinced that Elias Quintal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Paulo Macedo was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Quintal in the 64th minute of play forced TMFC's goalkeeper José Paulo Macedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of TMFC booed when Sassafraz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Márcio Lago didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márcio Lago in the 73rd minute of play forced TMFC's goalkeeper José Paulo Macedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Elias Quintal came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Sassafraz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Quintal couldn't finish the play. José Paulo Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Márcio Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 78 minutes into the game, Elias Quintal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. José Paulo Macedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Deivid Toscano's late challenge caught a TMFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Deivid Toscano helped the player get up and apologised. The goalkeeper, Dagoberto Vergílio, was totally fooled by TMFC's Cristóvão Moraes, who 84 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 87thth minute of the game Elias Quintal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TMFC's José Paulo Macedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 90 minutes into the game, Romeu Falcão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sassafraz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TMFC the free kick. A collision led to Sassafraz getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Romeu Falcão hit a great ball. When the referee ended the match the Sassafraz players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
