In the 3rd match minute, ATOS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Valle to maneuver through the defense. Sassafraz's Elias Quintal got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 8 minutes into the game, Sassafraz's Elias Quintal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jorge Breckenfeld made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Fernandão Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ATOS FC's Jorge Breckenfeld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Quintal in the 19th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Elias Quintal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Jorge Breckenfeld was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jorge Breckenfeld showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natã Rezende, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Elias Quintal scored 0-3 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jorge Breckenfeld, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 28 minutes, Vitinho Donatello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ATOS FC and the Sassafraz players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th match minute, ATOS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitinho Donatello to maneuver through the defense. Elias Quintal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorge Breckenfeld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Márcio Lago in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Elias Quintal notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of ATOS FC's Jorge Breckenfeld. Jorge Breckenfeld was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Elias Quintal scored 0-5 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jorge Breckenfeld, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Elias Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Breckenfeld having to interfere. Fernandão Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Jorge Breckenfeld tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Breno Meireles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Dagoberto Vergílio made a huge save. In the 44th minute, Breno Meireles reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dagoberto Vergílio. The goal made the score 1-5. After the first half Sassafraz were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vitinho Donatello to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Márcio Lago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sassafraz's Fernandão Simões got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jorge Breckenfeld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Quintal in the 60th minute of play. When Sassafraz's Márcio Lago in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ATOS FC's goalie prevented a goal. Jorge Breckenfeld showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Quintal in the 64th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, ATOS FC's Rafael Valle got a free kick in the 65th minute. Sassafraz's Fernandão Simões got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. ATOS FC's Vitinho Donatello got his second yellow card of the match in the 80th minute. The referee ordered Vitinho Donatello off the ground. In the 81st minute, Vitinho Donatello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd minute, Márcio Lago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 87 minutes, Elias Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sassafraz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elias Quintal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Fernandão Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sassafraz's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernandão Simões was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Breckenfeld breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elias Quintal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Breckenfeld read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Quintal in the 93rd minute of play forced ATOS FC's goalkeeper Jorge Breckenfeld to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Júnior Mesquita got free with Jorge Breckenfeld in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th minute Elias Quintal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Breckenfeld saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Sassafraz could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ATOS FC throughout the match.
