Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Frédson Koehler kicked off to start the match. Emanuel Damião was a little too slow when Frédson Koehler got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 5th minute. The score was now 1-0. Rudi van Nistelrooij sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 14 minutes into the match, Rudi van Nistelrooij had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Germano Brasil. Braz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rudi van Nistelrooij was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 16 minutes of play, Braz's Maurício Gomes made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emanuel Damião was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Maurício Gomes came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Braz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurício Gomes couldn't finish the play. Emanuel Damião showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frédson Koehler in the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Braz's goalkeeper Germano Brasil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 28 minutes, Rudi van Nistelrooij managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garrote's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rudi van Nistelrooij was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emanuel Damião took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frédson Koehler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Germano Brasil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas de Moraes in the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frédson Koehler in the 34th minute of play forced Garrote's goalkeeper Emanuel Damião to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Germano Munhoz hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute of the match, Maurício Gomes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Emanuel Damião was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 40th minute, Betinho Ceresso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emanuel Damião was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Garrote's Emanuel Damião played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frédson Koehler in the 45th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Garrote's goalkeeper Emanuel Damião had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maurício Gomes. A collision led to Garrote getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Raphael França hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurício Gomes in the 53rd minute of play forced Garrote's goalkeeper Emanuel Damião to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 59 played minutes Garrote got a freekick which was hit by Raphael França. In the 63rd minute, Gláuber Mello made a precise shot to the right of Emanuel Damião. Garrote's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. The audience was convinced that Rudi van Nistelrooij's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Germano Brasil was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Germano Brasil stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Germano Munhoz's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frédson Koehler in the 79th minute of play forced Garrote's goalkeeper Emanuel Damião to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gláuber Mello during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
