Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 6 minutes into the game, Bocaja's Ismael Cardozo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leopoldo Linhares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The supporters of Bocaja booed when Associação Atlética FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iuri Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Bocaja's Felipe Maranhense tried to score from far away in the 11th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Leopoldo Linhares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Gustavo da Rocha during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivo Duarte in the 17th minute of play forced Associação Atlética FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Linhares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivo Duarte in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leopoldo Linhares saved Associação Atlética FC from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Ivo Duarte put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Leopoldo Linhares. João Carlos Alagoano scored 3-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leopoldo Linhares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Leopoldo Linhares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ismael Cardozo in the 24th minute. Leopoldo Linhares came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Bocaja's Gilberto Neves. But to his dismay, Gilberto Neves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Leopoldo Linhares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Jânio Paraense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Igor da Costa. Bocaja's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jânio Paraense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivo Duarte was the one to do the kick off. Leopoldo Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivo Duarte in the 52nd minute of the match. After 53 played minutes Associação Atlética FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luís Lima. Associação Atlética FC's Leopoldo Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivo Duarte in the 55th minute of play. Iuri Vale's late challenge caught a Bocaja's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iuri Vale helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Associação Atlética FC's Iuri Vale got a free kick in the 56th minute. 57 minutes into the game, Bocaja's Ismael Cardozo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leopoldo Linhares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Bocaja's Ismael Cardozo got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bocaja were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after Associação Atlética FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Felipe Maranhense took the corner. The corner led to Bocaja's Gilberto Neves getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Bocaja's goalkeeper Igor da Costa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jânio Paraense. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Associação Atlética FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Linhares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 80th minute Ismael Cardozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Linhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bocaja! Luís Gustavo da Rocha received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Igor da Costa came out and tried to block the shot, but Luís Gustavo da Rocha slotted it home off the left post making it 5-2 in the 89th minute. Ivo Duarte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 94 played minutes Associação Atlética FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luís Lima. Felipe Maranhense struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Leopoldo Linhares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bocaja. After 98 minutes, Vânderson de Almeida mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bocaja and the Associação Atlética FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Associação Atlética FC made a substitution. Miguel Sena replaced Iuri Vale. When the referee ended the match the Bocaja players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
