Cido Diniz charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cido Diniz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cido Diniz kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Válter Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovani Arruda having to interfere. Ramón Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Torres in the 11th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 13th minute by Válter Moura got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Délio Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 18 played minutes Sarare got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Torres. Délio Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Giovani Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cido Diniz kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válter Moura in the 24th minute of play forced Sarare's goalkeeper Giovani Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Alberto Pernambucano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramón Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Júlio Torres to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Válter Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mamoes EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Válter Moura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giovani Arruda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Mamoes EC booed when Sarare was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cido Diniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Délio Vieira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Giovani Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Délio Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Délio Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovani Arruda having to interfere. With a little luck, Mamoes EC's Ramón Reis got control of the ball when Júlio Torres tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Válter Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Mamoes EC defense, Júlio Torres kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ramón Reis. The Mamoes EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramón Reis should have stopped the shot. Giovani Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Délio Vieira in the 83rd minute of play. Sarare's Giovani Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Délio Vieira in the 90th minute of play. Ronaldinho de Sousa charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronaldinho de Sousa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 95 played minutes Sarare got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldinho de Sousa. 96 minutes into the match, Sarare's goal looked a bit too open when Délio Vieira came free, but Giovani Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Mamoes EC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sarare's performance. The match ended with a win for Sarare.
