In the 11th minute of the match, Júlio Peres got a very nice opportunity to score, but Giovani Arruda was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Júlio Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giovani Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Décio Moura in the 16th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Sarare defense, Júlio Peres kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giovani Arruda. The Sarare fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giovani Arruda should have stopped the shot. Natanael Messias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miguel Esteves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Noel Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Giovani Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sarare's Emanuel Penha got a free kick in the 24th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Dorian Bertassi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sarare's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ana maria the free kick. In the 26th minute, one of Sarare:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sarare. Giovani Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Décio Moura in the 35th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Eduardo Abraão during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sarare's Luiz Eduardo Abraão got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Júlio Peres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ana maria's supporters rose to their feet, but Júlio Peres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giovani Arruda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Juninho Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovani Arruda having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 59 minutes, Júlio Peres made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Sarare's Giovani Arruda tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 62nd match minute, Sarare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Penha to maneuver through the defense. Natanael Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Júlio Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Giovani Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Peres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Júlio Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Giovani Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 83 minutes, Noel Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ana maria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Noel Moraes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Júlio Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87thth minute of the game Júlio Peres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sarare's Giovani Arruda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sarare's zone, Júlio Peres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giovani Arruda came out of the goal and Júlio Peres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Giovani Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sarare players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ana maria.
