In the 40thth minute of the game Arlindo de Lima who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Olarias's Luís Gustavo Prata was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 44th minute, Douglas Gerber got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luís Gustavo Prata came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Futebol Club Desportivo's Arlindo de Lima. But to his dismay, Arlindo de Lima quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arlindo de Lima stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 80th minute Abelardo Souto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dedê Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dedê Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Adolfo Maciel in the 83rd minute of the match. Samuca Mello struck a weak shot in the 100th minute. Dedê Ribeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olarias. When the referee blew the final whistle, Olarias could leave the field as winners, despite Futebol Club Desportivo having more of the ball for most of the match.
